The Spring Racing Carnival is not too far away, have you got your outfits ready? If you are struggling to put your outfits together, never fear we are here to help! We have put together a complete outfit fit for each race day that will get you inspired.
The first race meet is Derby Day on the 3rd November. Derby Day is known for it’s classic black and white style. To mix it up add textures like leather, suede, patent, feathers or a pop of colour. We have paired the Flemington Dress with a patent black heel and PU Floral head piece both from Myer.
Then of course we have the most important day, Melbourne Cup day. The Race that stops a nation! This is a day to shine. Mix bright solid colours, or a printed dress with bold accessories for a statement look. The On Point Dress is just the right amount of sass mixed with elegance. Pair this bright green dress with a hot pink block heel (more comfortable than a stiletto!) and a printed turban headband, available at Myer. Or for a more toned down look, wear it with a black facinator and heels.
There’s not resting ladies as Oaks Day is on Thursday 8th October! Known as “Ladies day” it is a day for everything feminine. Think pastel, soft colours and pretty florals. Why not mix up your look and wear a jumpsuit? Jumpsuits are the biggest trend this season and the Reflections Jumpsuit features a beautiful feminine floral print on a light blue ground. Just add a white heel and a white facinator and you are ready to go. These accessories are available at David Jones.
And last but not least is Stakes Day. A more relaxed, family day, it’s time to have a little more fun. Pack a picnic blanket and bring your friends for a day of fun. The Island Days Dress is a relaxed, yet flattering fit that will have you feeling comfortable all day. Team it with a low heel (your feet are going to need a rest by now!) and a black boater hat. Accessories available on the Iconic.
Hopefully now you are feeling a bit more inspired. Why not check out our full range of dresses to get some more ideas. If you are in Melbourne, stop by our boutique at 350 Clarendon Street to shop the collection as well as a range of complementary facinators.
This is a time to have a little fun with your outfits but keep it classy and feminine. (Shoes on at all times ladies!) And don’t forget to tag us share with us your #stellastyle.
